Adult treatment

In psychotherapy, the therapist and patient collaboratively co-create the therapeutic process, meaning that both parties are actively involved in uncovering, processing, and working through and understanding the patient’s emotional landscape. The therapist serves as a companion, guide, and mirror for the patient, supporting and encouraging them in the exploration of their inner world.

I am deeply committed to this work, as well as the principles inherent to it - open inquiry and exploration, curiosity, and the holding of space and hope for healing and transformation. These guiding principles create a therapeutic environment where individuals can be fortified as they move toward emotional well-being.

Adolescent treatment

In my approach to adolescents, I place a strong emphasis on the family unit and systemic dynamics. I firmly believe that the family system is central to understanding and addressing the challenges adolescents face. I emphasize that family therapy should consider the entire family's functioning and interactions, considering the family as an organism and the family as the primary patient, rather than focusing solely on the individual adolescent.

My approach to therapy often involves a process of engaging and collaborating with all family members to uncover and address relational issues, communication patterns, and underlying conflicts. I encourage open dialogue and constructive communication within the family, seeking to improve the family's ability to support and understand the adolescent's needs and struggles. I recognize that the adolescent's issues are often influenced by and intertwined with family dynamics, making it crucial to address the broader family context.

My therapeutic approach is strengths-based, and I strive to help families build on their existing resources and resilience to promote growth and positive change. By fostering a collaborative therapeutic environment, my approach to adolescent and family therapy seeks to enhance family relationships, improve communication, and ultimately provide adolescents with a more supportive and understanding family system to navigate the challenges of adolescence effectively.
